Getting To Know World of Warcraft
October 4th, 2007Ten World of Warcraft Leveling Secrets
World of Warcraft is perhaps one of the biggest games on the market, with over eight-million subscribers, it
certainly is already the number one MMORPG(Massive Multiplayer Online
Roleplaying Game), the only problem, it seems, is the amount of time it
takes to get to the end of the game via leveling. So without further ado, here's ten leveling secrets that should
help you level faster than ever.
1) TitanPanel/XP per hour - This tool is invaluable for anyone trying to manage their time within World of Warcraft, the panel when configured will tell you your
average xp/hour. You can then chart your progress and see how efficient you've become at leveling.
2) Do quests - A lot of people seem to play the game thinking the best way to level is to go out killing monsters non-stop until they reach 70, while this will
work, it's horribly inefficient, instead, queue up quests and complete them in combination with grinding.
3) Queuing quests - The benefit of queuing quests is
twofold; for one, you don't have to run from and to town turning in quests and picking up new ones, secondly,
many of the quests in the same area involve killing or collecting items near the same location, queuing quests will
make it easier to get all of them done in a timely manner.
4) Using your hearthstone - many people just bind their hearthstones to the largest cities in-game, this is great if you
just need to check auctions or mail items, but while you're leveling it can actually hurt your xp/hour to
constantly fly in and out of these cities to your current leveling area, Instead, attempt to find an inn nearby that
you can use to hearth when you complete quests, or when you want to take a break.
5) Group up for quests - All too many times you see people completing for kills of a rare mob for a specific quest, this is a horribly
inefficient use of time considering the group system was put in place to allow people to cooperate on quests, if you
see someone else on your quest, group up with them to complete it.
6) Run instances minimally - While instances are fun, and provide good gear and items, they tend to be time consuming
in the long run, while you're looking for members, going to the instance and waiting for everyone to arrive, you
could have gained a lot of xp. If you're in bad need of gear upgrades , run an instance or two, otherwise, try
to avoid them.
7) Turn on the quick quest text option - Look for the instant quest text option in the option menu and toggle it on.
If you've played the game before, chances are you know all or most the quests already, and don't need to
spend the extra minute or waiting for the text to finish popping up.
Minimize travel time- If there's a quest you need to turn in at
a specific city, consider it's importance relative to your overall XP/hour, if you can turn it in later, wait, if
not, try to turn in multiple quests there at the same time.
9) Use combos to quickly kill mobs- When grinding it can be
tempting to put your character on auto-attack, and then rinse and repeat, however, to be time efficient it's best
to test your character's abilities and find out what combination can bring down a mob the fastest, even a second
or two off the top can mean thousands more xp/hour.
10) Ask for help - If you can't figure out what to do, don't be afraid to ask for help, consider joining a
guild or asking someone more knowledgeable with the game for help,
however, politeness is key, since some people rather not be bothered, it's best to ask generally rather than
messaging random people.
Getting To Know World of Warcraft
Blizzard games have brought game development to another apex as they put forth another game from their Warcraft series. However, this time they laid out a big twist. Released in 2004,
the World of Warcraft is the biggest crack in the massively multiplayer online role-playing game market. This game
has been a household name in the gaming world as it deserves the abbreviation wow
gold.
World of Warcraft is played in a fantasy world that was
first created in 1994. However, as they tapped real time strategy gaming with their Warcraft series, a gaming shift
is in order. In World of Warcraft, players are able to control a central character in which you can carry out quests,
discover different worlds, and interact with other characters controlled by other players.
Gamers can take hold of at least ten different races from two different
alliances. These groups are the Alliance and the Horde. You can play the Humans, Night Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, and
Draeinei. If you want to play the Horde faction, you can play the Orcs, Tauren, Undead, the Trolls, and the Blood
Elves. Gamers can also select from different classes such as Druids, Hunters, Mages, Priest, Paladin, Rogues,
Sharman, Warlock, and Warriors. Each race and classes has different strengths and weaknesses that depict the
diversity of the game.
If you are successful in carrying out missions, you are rewarded with money, different items, and different levels
that give you more spells and powers. Players can also start battles with enemy factions as they form alliances. The
game span of World of Warcraft is almost unlimited as the game gives you more worlds to explore via their expansion
packs which also give new quests, items, maps, and characters. As they say, World of Warcraft is a gem of the MMORPG
world.
The World of Warcraft is a game designed with no real ending. This means you
are able to play the game as long as possible or as long as you are having fun with it. It is about living in a world
of your own, shared by other characters, as you develop relationships, alliances, and personal story. It is your own
virtual world as you take on the mask of your character as it slains demons and monsters yourself. This immersion is
what makes World of Warcraft a classic online game. Backed with an already
colorful storyline, gamers who play the Warcraft series will find World of Warcraft easy to play as they are able to
follow what has happened to places like Azeroth and Kalimdor as we view the world that was formed from the previous
games.
Three reasons why world of warcraft is for everyone
Ever wanted to become a gamer? Even if you have never played a game, there is one game that will catch your attention
and that is World of Warcraft. The biggest MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role playing game) will keep you
wanting more and more because of all the entertainment a single software like this one can provide. Unlike any other
games you don't need to have quick reflexes or be fast on the buttons, all you need to know is to be able to read
and make decisions. Of course there are actions involved but none of
them requires you to be a vivid gamer.
With no adult content and very mild violence, this game has been rated teen but you'd be surprised that most
players are adults. There is basically no age restrictions and the reason why there are so many adults is because
this is a game that is very easy to understand. With various and complex
different combinations of many things in the game it makes the possibilities of having fun endless. In fact this
fantasy world is very similar to the real world except for the fact that you have magical powers and many different
types of beings.
So what is there to do? Well like any other RPG, you will get to choose
your character, fight your way through quests and of course have the fun of killing monsters. But World of Warcraft
is far more than just that because it is also a powerful social network where you have to work in teams of over 20 or
25 people in order to succeed in some parts of the game. Basically you could be a leader in this game and not a
follower. Can you imagine leading your employer in the game? Now that would be fun.
If you are not a gamer, this is probably the first and last game you will ever buy because World of Warcraft is frequently updated and if you think you have finished
everything, think again. There are expansions to Wow and it will keep upgrading for an ongoing experience. Currently
there is only one expansion set known as The Burning Crusade but the second one is on its way and every for years
you'll have the chance to upgrade your gameplay to the next level so you won't have to worry about the game
being outdated.
This is a subscription game which means you must pay a
subscription fee every month but luckily the subscription fee is very cheap so you can enjoy the game. Basically it
costs around $12-$15 per month which is less than a dollar per day and if you do not want to play for a whole year
you can always choose to play for a period of two months, three months or six months. With various payment methods
accepted you shouldn't have any problems paying for the game if you decide to play World of Warcraft.
This simple yet complete-game will provide you with
so many features that you will never run out of things to do on Wow. With almost no age restrictions, it is a good
way for the parents to play or interact with their child through a game. Basically with these affordable options,
Blizzard, the creators, can provide you with many updates and fixes to make your gameplay experience much more
amusing. To increase the security of the game, parental control is provided for children who are not old enough to
play this game.
